Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Co-Ordinator / Business Development Representative to join a well-established company who supply building materials. The company has a few sites across the UK and therefore have an extensive customer base. They pride themselves on the quality of products and customer service they provide.

You will be working general office hours with an early finish every Friday at their site in Garforth, Leeds. You can expect to achieve a salary of £23 - £25,000 with an annual departmental bonus.

 

The Role

You will be a target-driven and experienced internal sales person who can demonstrate prior success within a similar multi-faceted office based role. This position is wholly office based and focused upon customer engagement, to understand their needs, ensure sales opportunities are realise and provide first class service to the customer base

  • To seek out, initiate build and develop relationships with potential Clients, from creating actual opportunities to winning new business.
  • Provide sales support and develop sales pipeline from existing and potential new clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Liaise with the sales manager to assist with arranging client meetings.
  • Support the estimators from time to time by recording new enquiries via bespoke CRM
  • Follow up existing quotes and record the status of each project.
  • Support the marketing department when necessary.
  • Inputting sales orders from phone, fax and email
  • Using the internet to identify new projects/customers and make initial contact
  • Record all enquiries, quotations and prospects including specifiers and contractors
  • Follow up leads
  • Dealing with incoming enquiries for pricing
  • Follow outstanding quotes as instructed by the Office Team Leader whilst aiming to set up appointments for the Sales Manager
  • Call new prospects against agreed priorities following on from investigation
  • E-mail monitoring – dealing with sales related activities
  • Draft and send letters and company information using e-letter
  • Answer incoming telephone calls

 

The Candidate

  • You will be commercially aware, target driven and very much a team player.
  • Someone who is great at creating and maintaining positive and productive working relationships across the business and communicating effectively.
  • Strong and confident communication skills with all audience levels and with strong attention to detail.
  • IT literacy with experience using CRM software, MS Word, Outlook and Excel
  • You will need excellent organisation and time management skills with an eye for detail and the ability to use your own initiative.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a drive to succeed to be the best.

Desired Skills

  • Experience of CRM systems

  • Experience of working within the fencing industry an advantage but not essential
